电力供应

普吉特海湾能源公司 is the largest energy utility in the state, providing electric power to more than 1.2 million customers. 截至12月31日, 2022, our electric power 资源 (company-owned, controlled or under long-term contracts) had a total nameplate capacity of approximately 6,566兆瓦(MW), generating almost 22 million megawatt-hours (MWh) annually.

We’re undergoing the most significant transformation in our history as we strive to meet Washington state’s clean energy laws - some of the most ambitious in the nation - and deliver on our customers’ expectations for energy that is clean as well as safe, reliable and affordable.

Our diversified mix

To ensure system reliability, we maintain a diverse portfolio of generation 资源 to serve our customers. This includes renewable and non-emitting generation 资源 including wind, 水力发电, 太阳能, and battery storage.

In 2022, 水力发电 and wind power accounted for more than 40% of our power generation. 风力发电 is an important and increasingly prominent resource for PSE. We own and operate three large wind farms in central and eastern Washington with more expected in the future.

In addition to large, utility-scale 资源, we are also pursuing energy produced locally and in partnership with our neighborhoods and communities through programs like 社区太阳能.

We also generate electricity with our own thermal power plants, natural gas and coal, which help balance the variability of renewable 资源. We own and operate several natural-gas-fired power plants in the Puget Sound region. 到2025年底, in accordance with Washington state law, we will no longer serve our customers with coal-fired electricity.
